Chelsea are set to announce Lyon boss Sonia Bompastor as their new manager.
Bompastor, 43, is lined up to replace Emma Hayes next season but the Blues agreed to delay any announcement until after Saturday’s Women’s Champions League final in Bilbao.
Lyon were beaten 2-0 by Barcelona at the San Mames Stadium and after the game Bompastor said “it’s not the right moment to talk about it” when asked about her future.
“I’m really disappointed and that’s the main thing for me,” she added.
Bompastor’s assistant manager Camille Abily will also join her in west London.
