A city shopping centre will soon have a new cinema, replacing one which closed last year.
Cabot Circus in Bristol has been without a cinema since the Showcase De Lux there closed in 2023.
A new Odeon theatre will open in the same place, likely in 2025.
Cabot’s owner, Hammerson, said it had canvassed customers, who said a new cinema was the thing the centre needed most.
Hammerson’s Director of Asset Management, Toby Tait, told BBC West: “This new partnership with ODEON is the culmination of months of hard work to select the best operator and bring the latest technology and experience into a completely renewed cinema venue.
“It adds to our growing line-up of restaurants and entertainment venues, specifically introduced to boost day and night experiences at Cabot Circus in the heart of Bristol.”
