England midfielder Jordan Nobbs has signed an 18-month deal with the option to extend for Women’s Super League club Aston Villa.
The 30-year-old joins from Arsenal with whom she spent 12 years, winning 12 trophies including three WSL titles.
She scored 81 goals during 270 appearances for the north London club.
“Arsenal will always be my home,” Nobbs said in an open letter, external to fans. “Arsenal will always be my family.”
Nobbs added: “Every single time I put on that shirt, I gave so much of my life to it because I knew how important it was to play for this club, and I knew how much passion and love was in the girls when I first arrived.
“To know I’ve played my part in creating that legacy is something really special.”
Nobbs has 69 caps for England and has scored eight goals.
She was awarded FA Player of the Year in 2016 and the FA Players’ Player of the Year in 2017.
