Television presenter Nick Owen has received his MBE from the Princess Royal.
The BBC Midlands Today presenter was awarded the accolade in June, as part of the King’s Birthday Honours List, for services to charity and broadcasting.
The 76-year-old received the honour at a ceremony at Windsor Castle earlier.
Owen has presented various shows over a 50-year career including Good Morning with Anne and Nick in the 1990s.
His recent story about his treatment for prostate cancer prompted a surge in people being tested.
Many hundreds of congratulatory messages were posted on social media when Owen was awarded the MBE.
“I’m absolutely delighted and I feel very honoured,” Owen said ahead of the ceremony. “I still can’t quite get my head around it.
“I feel very passionate about doing this job and I feel very lucky to still be doing it.”
